Meet Dr. Neto

As a therapist, my primary goal is to empower you to analyze and understand your past and present and direct your future. Sometimes this goal is best achieved through carefully examining and re-experiencing your past and other times, a present and future focused approach is best suited to get you where you want to be. You and I will determine that together, depending on your needs and goals in therapy. If you are struggling with dissatisfaction in relationships or at work, if you feel depressed or anxious and are unsure why, if you find yourself bogged down by the past, or if you and your family/partner are experiencing breakdowns in communication, I would love to hear from you and explore working together.

I believe self-exploration and growth are two of the main processes that give life meaning. But in this fast paced world, it can feel like there is little time to contemplate what matters or to figure out what's going well or poorly, much less to know what to do with that information. Together, we could use therapy to do just that.

My Background & Training

Education & Foundations

I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology after completing training in various modalities and theoretical approaches. I continue to grow the body of knowledge from which I draw in psychotherapy through training in therapies like DBT, CPT, and the Gottman Method.

Clinical Experience

Before starting this practice, I spent years in community clinics and hospital settings, supporting individuals, couples, and families through life's most difficult transitions with deep empathy. I am bilingual in English/Spanish and continue to work in community mental health, in addition to my private practice.

Areas of Expertise

I specialize in evidence-based therapies like CBT, CPT, DBT, and psychodynamic psychotherapy, always tailored to the person sitting across from me, not just the diagnosis. Additionally, I offer expertise in couples and family, as well as culturally-attuned work, including therapy in Spanish.

How I show up

In our time together, I show up with a grounded presence and a genuine interest in your story. My approach is less like a clinical assessment and more like a warm conversation—one where you are seen as a whole person, not just a diagnosis. I believe that healing happens in the space between two people, so I focus on building a safe, emotionally resonant environment where we can explore your challenges with both science-backed tools and deep human compassion. You can expect a room where it is safe to be vulnerable, where your pace is respected, and where we work together to find clarity and a way forward that feels true to who you are. You can also expect me to take an active approach, whether supporting by challenging, teaching new skills, or interrupting conflict in family/couples sessions, I will shape the psychotherapy process for you while always attempting to intuit and assess your needs as they develop in the room.

Ready to begin together?

Healing is a journey better taken with a trusted partner. Whether you have questions or you’re ready to dive in, I am looking forward to hearing from you.
